Google today launched its next big search ranking update. The November 2024 core update will take about two weeks to roll out.

The update took 19 days to rollout and was a pretty impactful update.

The first core update of 2024 finished rolling out on April 19 – this was a pretty big one but it overlapped with other big changes leading to a 45% reduction in unhelpful content.

In 2023, we had nine official and confirmed Google algorithm updates – which was on less than the previous two years.

Some sites may see an increase in their Discover traffic starting soon.
